 Kitchen Manager at Vegan Café and Meal Delivery - Walnut Creek

We are a fast growing, vegan plant powered Café and meal delivery business with opportunity for advancement. We are looking for a hands on Kitchen Manager to perform daily back of the house Café and meal delivery operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include food prep, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to deliver quality meals on time. Ultimately, you will ensure all Café grab and go and meals are prepared and delivered to our customers on time. As an added benefit, a free Café meal is offered with every shift.

Responsibilities
 

• Manage and coordinate meal orders

• Perform food prep and plating

• Check food plating

• Establish portion sizes

• Order food and kitchen supplies, as needed

• Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)

• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

Skills
 

• Some experience as a Kitchen Manager is desirable

• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

• Excellent organizational skills

• Flexibility to work occasional weekends

• Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
